The Collaborative for Family
Engagement and Learning
The Collaborative for Family Engagement & Learning at the Education Alliance for New Hampshire works to advance educational outcomes for students across the state by connecting families, schools, and communities as partners in students’ academic success and wellbeing.
Focus Areas
The Collaborative for Family Engagement & Learning focuses on promoting educational access for all families; strengthening family–school partnerships and community collaboration; expanding professional development opportunities for educators and families; and developing and sharing practical resources that support meaningful engagement statewide.
Our Family Engagement Story
The Collaborative for Family Engagement & Learning builds on the strong foundation established through the New Hampshire Statewide Family Engagement Center (NH-SFEC) grant.
Beginning in 2022, the five-year federal NH-SFEC grant was administered by the Education Alliance for New Hampshire as the organizational and fiscal sponsor, in partnership with Partners for Rural Impact. The NH-SFEC served families and educators in Manchester and Northern New Hampshire, working on strengthening family–school partnerships to address issues like chronic absenteeism and provide resources that support student success.
NH-SFEC Impact By the Numbers
In September 2025, the U.S. Department of Education issued a discontinuation notice that ended the NH-SFEC grant two years earlier than planned. The Collaborative for Family Engagement & Learning is continuing to carry forward the NH-SFEC’s lessons, tools, and partnerships to sustain and expand high-impact family engagement efforts across New Hampshire.
