What we do

Programs

The Education Alliance for New Hampshire collaborates with a wide range of national and local partners who help enhance and expand the innovative programs we offer students. These partnerships advance our goal of improving educational outcomes for all New Hampshire students. Our member colleges and universities also serve as key collaborators, warmly welcoming students to their campuses and providing meaningful opportunities for engagement.

New Hampshire GEAR UP Alliance

The New Hampshire GEAR UP Alliance is a community-based initiative that helps students across the state prepare for and succeed in college. Managed by the Education Alliance for New Hampshire, GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is a federal program funded through the U.S. Department of Education dedicated to serving students in high-need areas. GEAR UP New Hampshire brings together a diverse coalition of colleges and universities, secondary schools, businesses, and volunteers to strengthen students’ academic achievement and life readiness.

New Hampshire Statewide Family Engagement Center

The New Hampshire Statewide Family Engagement Center (NH-SFEC) strengthens student success by fostering meaningful partnerships among families, schools, and communities. With a focus on both academic achievement and social-emotional wellbeing, the NH-SFEC supports a statewide vision where families are active, empowered partners in education. The NH-SFEC leverages evidence-based frameworks to build the capacity of educators and families, amplify family voice in educational policy and decision-making, and establish a lasting infrastructure for effective and equitable family engagement across New Hampshire.

North Country PACE

North Country PACE (Persistence and Continuing Education) is a regional initiative designed to increase post-secondary enrollment, persistence, and completion rates among students in Northern New Hampshire’s most rural communities. By using real-time workforce data, North Country PACE helps students explore careers aligned with their interests and strengths, while fostering a culture of college and career readiness. In partnership with local schools, community organizations, and higher education institutions, North Country PACE connects students with meaningful opportunities that prepare them for success through enrollment, employment, or enlistment, and empowers them to become future ready.

Bridges to Postsecondary Success (formally NH Scholars)

Bridges to Postsecondary Success equips students with the knowledge, tools, and support needed to confidently navigate a wide range of college and career pathways after high school. By promoting academic rigor and informed career exploration, the program empowers students to make thoughtful decisions about their futures and the opportunities available within their own communities and beyond. Bridges programming is woven throughout all grant initiatives and supported by both lead organizations.

New Hampshire College & University Council

The New Hampshire College & University Council (NHCUC) is a nonprofit consortium of public and private, two-year, and four-year institutions committed to expanding educational opportunity and advancing economic development across the state. In close partnership with the Education Alliance for New Hampshire, NHCUC collaborates with K–12 schools and higher education systems to support student preparation and success in postsecondary education. Through shared initiatives, NHCUC member institutions work together to strengthen New Hampshire’s educational landscape and workforce future.

Some College, No Degree

In partnership with the New Hampshire College & University Council (NHCUC), the Education Alliance of New Hampshire (EANH) is working to update and analyze data on individuals in the state who have some college experience but no degree. This data will help identify targeted strategies to better support returning students and increase degree completion rates. To guide this work, EANH will convene an ad hoc Advisory Committee composed of leaders from higher education, business, and community organizations. Together, they will explore national best practices and design a pilot program focused on re-enrollment, persistence, and student success at NHCUC member institutions.
